Retouching effect on lips photoshop

Step: 1

To give the retouch effect to your picture, correct the image white balance and colors levels problems. If you are satisfy with the image correction result then duplicate the layers of the background two times. Name these layers to background 1 and second layer name should be background 2. Now we will retouch the dry and cracked lips.

Step: 2

Select the background layer 2 and and hidden the background layer 1 then go to filter / blur Gaussian blur. Radius should be set to 6 for glowing look.

Step: 3

Change the layers Blending mode to linear light and to screen mode, the preview of these layers will look bad.

Step: 4

when you have set the blending mode to Linear Light you will now see a glowing  and soften lips in your picture.

Step: 5

Go to tools panel select the clone stamp or press the s button on your keyboard and select the background layer 1 set the blending mode to linear burn and set the opacity to 90%.

Now with the clone stamp tool re texture the lips lines and the cracks in the lips.

Don't work on it too much then it will look very weird and not original lips.

Step: 6

Go to tools panel use the clone stamp tool again or press S button on your keyboard to choose clone stamp tool. Set the sample to default and blending option should be 8%. Create new layer rename it to "123 layer" .

Step: 7

Select the background layer 1 and create a new layer on top of the background layer 1. Now you will have three different layers so rename the newly created layer to dark background, blending mode should be set to linear dark.

Step: 8

Create new layer or press and hold ctrl and N. Rename this layer to background light set the blending mode to lighten.

Step: 9

Select the clone stamp tool or press s and select the background 1 layer, set the stamp tool mode to darken. Now go and select the quick brush tool opacity should be set to 99% and hardness should be 48%.

Step: 10

Select the red color and then select the quick brushing tool from photoshop tools panel. Start to paint the lips dont use too much brush.

Step: 11

Select the background layer 2, select the clone stamp tool. Blending mode should be set to linear burn and opacity should be 85%.

Step: 12

Select the red color and the paint brush tool and start painting to the cracked lips spots. It will make the lips look more natural.

Step: 13

Create a highlight layer in the step number 13 and name this layer to highlight layer 1. Now go to photoshop tools panel and select quick selection tool and set the pixels to 5px. Select the paint color tool and create new layer name it white and fill this layer with the white color.

Step: 14

Go to photoshop tools panel and select color paint tool. Select white color and start to paint the highlighted layer. Set the opacity to 58% and fill should be 85%.

Step: 15

Set the opacity to 55% and Press and hold the ALT KEY. Now start to refine the areas of the lips. Now you will see perfect lips and you got the final result.
