Step: 1
In this tutorial first launch the photoshop and make a new 14 document. Next we
have to use very dark gray color to fill up the background. Then we load the
picture of a girl on ladder which can be downloaded from shutter stock Now we have
to use the quick selection tool (W) to extract the background we can also use
Lasso tool (L) or any other method you want.
Next as shown we have to remove the back strut of ladder.
Step: 2
After go in to the filter > other > High Pass, Make two same girl's layers. Next
we have to change the blending mode to vivid light and also need to set the radius
to 5. Next make a Clipping mask. By doing this the amount of detail would
increase.
Step: 3
Next after adding the layer on top of the other layer then we need to got to the
layer option then select create clipping mask. Now we can paint over the girl
picture by start using the large soft black brush or press B to select it. Now she
should appear like she is touching the moon, her face and arms would look more
shinier, the other part of the body would look dark.
To get the high level of contrast go to the layer option then go to new adjustment
layer then go to gradient map. From here you can change the blending mode to soft
light. Clipping mask is needed to the adjustment of layer.
Step: 4
In the next step we have to place the downloaded picture of moon in a new layer,
next we need to change the layers blending mode to screen mode.
Now to make the moon bluer wee need to go these options, Image > Adjustment >
Hue > saturation, then select the colorize option from there. Then we need to change
the brightness to 54 and contrast to 51 by going into Image > Adjustment >
Brightness > contrast.
Step: 5
Use the pink color to Fill up the layer, after that select big soft brush and
paint light blur on the moon. Now need to change the blending mode layer to soft
light. Now this layer would be place on the top of the other layers.
Step: 6
TO give the moon a more glow we need to make duplicate of the moon layer then go
to filter options then go to blur then into Gaussian Blur, then have to set the
radius to 10.
After that go to Image then go to Adjustment then into Levels. The we have to
increase the black input to 15. By selecting the eraser tool or press (E) we need
to delete all of the picture only flare should be left.
Step: 7
Load the picture from project files. Then to reduce the brightness to -5 and
increase the contrast to 80 go into Image > Adjustments > Brightness > Contrast.
We also go to Image > Adjustments > Hue and Saturation. Select Colorize, then move
the Hue to 270, reduce the saturation to 4 and the lightness to -12.
