Photoshop colourfull and vector mash-ups effect

Step: 1

At this moment you can also decide weather you can give a dynamic or static look to your picture.

Step: 2

In the next step this is very time consume that you need to get the image out from its background but make sure you get the right details. Now we have to remove the background and make two same layer by pressing (Cmd + Ctrl +J), next we have to select the layer, next create a path, also need to make this path in to active selection, in the last hit Delete.

It would be wise and worth investing if you can use third party software to speed up the whole process, if you are doing cutouts often.

Step: 3

Well it could be very risky to your overall picture if you choose a background for this piece. you can choose anything from warehouse conversion and from urban landscape, and whatever you choose means that you created in a wildly different creative place. The image i used here can be download from stock exchange. Now have to paste this new layer you created in the back of floating girl layer. Now you have to place the image of girl to fit within your chosen shot so that it could look natural as possible.

Step: 4

Next we have to let the model interact with the background. After making the two same girls layer, We need to set the blending mode to multiply after that we need to delete some sections to help the shadows so that they can fit into the piece by using the eraser tool. Not to worry if you delete too much you can always undo the action at this stage.

Step: 5

In the Next step we have to let the picture show like she is floating in to the space you need to paint in a shadow below the girl to help root her in the picture. You need to use a large brush. To get the distribution right we have to delete some parts to get an even distribution. We need to set the transparency until it looks clear and right after change the layer to multiply.

Step: 6

Next we reach in to the fun stuff bit now: you need to first save the picture as .PSD file format and then need to open it in illustrator. Next we have to draw the basic vector close to the girl. It depends on you what the next piece will be place and where. From here we are entering to a generic geometrical system which works very good with most of the backgrounds.

Step: 7

Now we are almost finish to it. Now to make foreground elements standout more finally we have to darken the background in places behind it.
