Step 1

To add the text into the picture first you will have to open the image file, you can also add the text into the blank document as well. For example we already loaded an image file in this tutorial.

Step 2

From the toolbar you can select the text tool to insert your text, you can also create a text box by dragging and clicking on it, then you can insert text into the text box.

From the text options bar you can select the various types of fonts and style from the drop down menus, then you can also set the size of the font you want, you can change the settings in case later.

 To select a text color you can use color picker

You can also watch rectangular box appears with your current text color shown in it at the top of bar along with it in the text options. First you select your text and then click on the box.After that you will be able to see the window of color picker (text color).

After that you can choose any color you want from the color picker, you can also select the color by moving the circle which is in the color picker box.

You will be able to see the current selected and new colors on the back of hue selector in the box.

You can also select the color by typing the code into the input box which is right of the color picker window.

If you want to see paint tone colors and some other color then you need to click on color libraries.

By using the eyedropper tool you can move cursor at your chosen image to select any color you want. This would be more easy if you pickup a color that also matches color within your selected image.

You can Click 'OK' after you have selected the color.

Finally you can see your text with the color you selected.

You can change the color of different letters.

If you want to change the color of a single letter or word then you have to highlight the letter or word.

There are also some other methods to change the color of the text in photoshop.

Background and foreground colors are also changeable from the toolbar options you have to click on the boxes above, from the color picker window just select any color.

After selected background and foreground colors, just select you highlighted text and then you have to press Alt + Backspace on windows or you can do this on Mac os by pressing Option + Delete to make your text to the foreground color. If you want to change it to the background color, you can press ctrl + backspace on windows or command + delete on Mac OS.

Step 8

To select the color of your text you can use the swatches panel. In case you don't see the swatches panel, to find that just go to the window and tick the swatches.
